Google Buys Data Visualization Software - Forbes.com

Sorry, Al Gore. Since Google acquired visual statistics software Trendalyzer from Gapminder late Friday, the former vice president and “Inconvenient Truth” star no longer has a monopoly on the market for entertaining, yet sobering PowerPoint presentations.

Stockholm-based non-profit Gapminder sold off its primary product to the search giant for an undisclosed amount. Trendalyzer, according to the company, “unveils the beauty of statistics by converting boring numbers into enjoyable interactive animations.”
