RED HERRING | Wi-Fi VoIP to Reach $15B

"Is voice the real business Wi-Fi killer app?

"A newly released report sheds light on the fervor that met the IPO of wireless gear maker Aruba Networks Tuesday. According to Juniper Research, the worldwide equipment market for Wi-Fi VoIP will grow from $2 billion in 2007 to a whopping $15 billion by 2012.

The report is great news for Cisco, the wireless network gear market leader, and about a dozen smaller firms in the United States including Aruba, Trapeze Networks, Meru Networks, and Proxim Wireless."
