GDC: Interview with Double Fusion CEO Jonathan Epstein - FierceGameBiz

Double Fusion is one three leading in-game advertising companies, along with Massive, Inc., which was acquired by Microsoft in 2006, and independent competitor IGA Worldwide. I asked him how the evolution of the market will affect competition between the companies. “There’s room for competition, but not infinite competition,” he said. As the market for worldwide gaming continues to expand, there will be room for growth into fast-growing markets like casual games—where Double Fusion is now expanding into. “We believe there will probably be two leading companies with smaller companies finding niches,” he said.
There’s one company in particular I was interested to get Epstein’s thoughts on—Google, which is close to finalizing the acquisition of AdScape Media.
