Altiris buys Pedestal

Acquisition price, according to Red Herring was over 5x the $12 million that VC's (Venrock and 3i; first round of financing was in 2003) had invested in the company. Altiris said it expects the acquisition to contribute as much as $18 million in revenue for 2005. Good IRR and ROI for both firms.
