Workday - HR SaaS

Workday's mission is to build the next generation of enterprise business services—Human Resource Management, Financial Management, and Payroll—and deliver the solutions on a Software as a Service (SaaS)model.

Founded by former PeopleSoft founder and CEO Dave Duffield with former PeopleSoft Vice Chairman and head of product strategy Aneel Bhusri in March 2005, Workday is offering an innovative and fresh approach for today’s global businesses.

After founding Workday, Dave and Aneel quickly realized they had a chance to build an enterprise solution from scratch, which allowed them to place the emphasis back on the customer.

"Workday is a great place to spend a work day.

The Workday experience is the combination of everything that's unique about Workday: our culture, our core values, our company meetings, our Development "Show and Tell" happy hours, our soccer team, our recognition programs, but most importantly it's our people. It's everything that makes us different from your average employer, and everything that makes Workday a great place to spend a work day.

Beyond Business as Usual >>

Work is fun when you're surrounded by talented people, and since we spend a majority of a given day's hours at work, we want to enjoy our time here.

Company Culture >>

It's the feeling you get when you walk through our doors. It drives the way we work with each other, our customers, our partners, and all other associates.

Core Values >>

The Workday core values and beliefs define what's important to Workday.

Sustainability >>

Workday believes that success for the company can not only be measured in financial terms, but also in how the company operates in the context of community and environment. Companies, as individuals, need to assume responsibility for their actions as part of a global eco-system. Therefore everyone at Workday is committed to eliminate or reduce any negative impact to the immediate and global environment."

Aneel Bhusri is Workday’s co-founder and co-CEO of Workday, responsible for the company’s overall strategy and day-to-day operations.

From 1999 to 2004, he served as Vice Chairman of the Board at PeopleSoft. From 1993 to 1999, Aneel held a number of senior leadership positions at PeopleSoft, including senior vice president in charge of product strategy, business development, and marketing.

Mr. Bhusri holds an MBA from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science and Arts in Electrical Engineering and Economics from Brown University.
