emii: DFJ To Close $400M VC Fund

"Draper Fisher Jurvetson is set to close its $400 million venture capital fund, Market Watchreports. The fund will invest a large portion of the amount, around $160 million, in green computing and clean energy investments, according to managing director, Steve Jurvetson.

The fund will seek opportunities in the green technology space, which includes the move to make data centers more energy efficient. It will seek investments in opportunities that curb roughly 3% of U.S. electricity output that goes toward running information-technology systems."
