Armorize Raises Series B Funding from Ambient Sound, Birch VC


Armorize Technologies, a Santa Clara, Calif.-based provider of Web application security solutions, has raised an undisclosed amount of Series B funding. Backers include Ambient Sound Investments, Birch Venture Capital and unnamed Series A investors.

Armorize CodeSecure™ is a static source code analysis platform that leverages third generation software verification technologies to identify web application vulnerabilities throughout development.

"Armorize has a highly talented team of software security specialists who have developed a unique patented solution for source code vulnerability analysis," added Margus Uudam, ASI's Head of Private Equity Investments. "We believe their holistic approach to web-application security will give them a solid global market leader position."

Investors include European Ambient Sound Investments (ASI), established by Skype's founding engineers; Pacific Rim-focused Birch Venture Capital; and Silicon Valley-based Armorize Series-A investors. The Series-B funds will drive business development efforts worldwide.
