Amazon Kindle DX Ready for Pre-order - ~$500 bucks

The new Amazon kindle DX is here and ready for your pre-order. Quite honestly, for close to $500 I can't see how an individual would want something like this. Maybe that's just my initial reaction based on use of the Kindle 2 - nothing compares to good old pen and paper except for papyrus and ox blood.
