Startups jostle each other as business Wi-Fi comes of age.

"Wireless networking equipment makers are hoping they will finally be able to break into the mainstream corporate market with a new generation of Wi-Fi gear they claim is more robust, secure and reliable.

Ruckus Wireless and Trapeze Networks on Monday became the latest startups to stake out territory with new products based on an as-yet unfinished 802.11n Wi-Fi standard that they hope will give them an edge against networking giant Cisco Systems.

The startups joined Meru Networks, Aruba Networks, Colubris Networks, and Cisco as Wi-Fi gear makers that have recently launched next generation products, even though 802.11n standard is not expected to be finalized until September 2008. "
