Khosla Ventures, a venture capital company founded by entrepreneur Vinod Khosla, has formed a joint venture with Western Milling, California's largest grain milling company, to operate 55-gallons-per year ethanol plants.
The first three plants in the joint venture, dubbed Cilion, are expected to be in California, according to Menlo Park, Calif.-based Khosla Ventures.
