Tech-Confidential: Report says clean energy is going to explode

"The run-up in the price of oil and other traditional fuels, along with increased public policy focus on alternative fuel development will help fire a quadrupling of the market for clean energy technologies including biofuels, photovoltaics, wind energy, and fuel cells, from $40 billion in 2005 to $167 billion by 2015.
So predicts a new report from energy and environmental technology market researcher Clean Edge Inc. of San Francisco. Clean Edge worked with energy venture capital specialist Nth Power to develop its annual Clean Energy Trends, which for the first time segments different components of the market and projects their growth rates.
The report shows that biofuels revenues surpassed wind power with $15.7 billion in 2005 revenues compared to $11.8 billion, and portends a slight trend, with biofuels growing 234% to $52.5 billion in 2015, and windpower growing 311% to $48.5 billion."
