RED HERRING | TechSpin: Motos Unsung iRadio

"It is not as sexy as the video-enabled iPod or as famous as the ROKR, or the iTunes mobile phone, but Motorola's iRadio is one of the more impressive products of the current genre of mobile entertainment devices. For some reason, the company has not spent as much effort promoting iRadio as it has pushing the ROKR and its slimmer offspring still in development. Motorola's iRadio is smarter than the ROKR in that instead of marrying downloaded music and the cell phone, it marries radio and the cell phone. You can download music at your computer and listen to it on your car radio via a Bluetooth link or you can carry it with you on a walk or on the train where reception is not a problem, as the content is stored on the phone/music player. The user does not have to worry about payment for content because it is designed for one-time use, just like traditional radio. You listen to it and then it disappears forever. "
