"The market's reception was a big win for backer DCM-Doll Capital Management, a venture firm based in Menlo Park, California. DCM invested $540,000 in AllAbout's first round of financing in 2000 along with Recruit, a Japanese job advertising agency. AllAbout raised a total of $3.5 million in that equity round and later collected another $3.7 million in convertible debt. DCM's stake in the company is now worth $21 million, said Doll Capital investor David Chao."
