DCM, Others Bet Big on Chinese Micropayment Startups

In China, credit cards and personal checks have always been more of an abstract idea than a reality.
The region also boasts that some 100 million people go online daily, sometimes to shop.

Such factors go a long way in explaining why, in succession over the last couple of weeks, two China-based online payment services have received funding from U.S. and Chinese investors and why more competitors are sure to emerge to take part in backing micropayments.
