Airgo chips leap in speed past Wi-Fi: Financial News - Yahoo! Finance

"Privately-held Airgo Networks Inc. said on Wednesday it has developed wireless chips that are more than four times faster than Wi-Fi, a short-range wireless technology that delivers the Web to laptop computers in homes, offices and public places."

This is revolutionary technology (MIMO) that improves data throughput so much that wireless home networks may eventually allow consumers to watch streaming video and TV.

The prediction is that Broadcom, Atheros, Intel will acquire Airgo shortly. That is unless they register for IPO.
