Good buys JMP Mobile

"BlackBerry rival Good Technology, which makes competing email software for wireless devices, is reportedly buying wireless platform security technology solutions provider JP Mobile.

Said to be less than $75 million, the purchase will give Good access to SureWave Mobility Suite, an enterprise software platform that facilitates wireless access to data on corporate servers.

Pacific Crest Securities analyst Janes Faucette, who follows Good Technology, tells TheDeal.com's Olaf de Senerpont Domis that Good's acquisition of JP Mobile would 'enable Good to expand its offering to a wider variety of devices, not just the high-processing power email specific devices that Good and (BlackBerry-maker) Research In Motion tend to target.'"
