"Security appliance maker Network Intelligence Corp. has raised a $12 million third round of venture capital in an up round led by Bain Capital Ventures of Boston and Castile Ventures of Waltham, Mass.
Sweeney would not disclose a valuation for the round but said it was up nominally from Network Intelligence's $5 million second round of August 2003.
Network Intelligence was originally founded in 1997 and initially sold a firewall analysis software product that worked in conjunction with network equipment manufactured by San Jose, Calif.-based Cisco Systems Inc."
Does it make sense for Cisco to acquire them?
