BMC buys OpenNetwork for $18 million

BMC Software said it is acquiring OpenNetwork for $18 million in cash. OpenNetwork makes software for online access management and single sign-on techniques, which BMC will use together with software from Calendra, its other recent acquisition in the identity management space. OpenNetwork, like BMC, is a large Microsoft partner and its software works with Microsoft's servers.
