Motion Computing

Motion Computing Inc. said it has raised $25 million in Series C funding that will help it step up sales of its wireless tablet PCs in Europe and go after new customer sectors. IVP came in as a new investor. Existing investors NEA and SVB participated most likely pro-rata.

Tablet computing has not take off as expected in the US. Why pay for a tablet pc when you can buy a laptop with twice the functionality at half the cost? Even wearable computing (NASD: xybr) seems to be selling better than the tablet stuff. Good thing MC is targetting Europe first and continuing w/ their traction into the healthcare vertical.
