WSJ.com - Salesforce.com to Buy Sendia

"Salesforce.com Inc. plans to announce its first acquisition today, a deal designed to help the fast-growing Web service provide more offerings for mobile users.
The San Francisco-based company said it has agreed to buy closely held Sendia Corp., which sells technology that lets users tap into Web services using hand-held computers and smart phones, for $15 million. Though the price tag is relatively small, the deal underscores how companies that once only served desktop-PC users are scrambling to satisfy workers on the go."
