Broadcom Completes Sandburst Deal - 3/2/2006 10:30:00 AM - Wireless Week - CA6312380

"Broadcom completed its proposed acquisition of fabless semiconducor company Sandburst. The total price of the deal was $77 million.
In January Broadcom announced plans to acquire Sandburst in an effort to deliver a complete end-to-end Ethernet switching portfolio.
Broadcom delivers semiconductors to the wireless and wireline sectors. Sandburst specializes in scalable packet switching and routing systems-on-a-chip for Ethernet networks.
Broadcom paid $72 million in cash in exchange for Sandburst's outstanding shares of capital stock and vested stock options. Broadcom also paid $5 million in stock."
