EETimes.com - Conformative sale confirmed; no word on buyer

"Charles River Ventures, one of two venture companies that backed XML processing startup Conformative Systems Inc., has confirmed that Conformative has been acquired but declined to identify the buyer.
Conformatives Web site has been down for several days, and executives of the Austin, Texas, company have not returned calls.
Conformative has been acquired; however, the acquiring company is choosing to keep it under wraps for the near time. In respect for that decision, we are not commenting on whats happening there right now, a spokesperson for Charles River Ventures (Waltham, Mass.) told EE Times by e-mail.
Earlier, a source had told EE Times that Intel Corp. was believed to be the acquiring company but that the acquisition had not been considered materially significant; thus Intel had not filed documents with the Securities and Exchange Commission and had not issued a press release. But at the time an Intel spokesman said he was unaware of an acquisition of Conformative by Intel (see Feb. 3 story). "
