RED HERRING | Cleantech Investments Up 37%

EnerTech Capital was the most active cleantech investor in the third quarter, with five investments. Chrysalix Energy, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, and Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers each participated in three financings.



Companies in clean energy raised the most money, capturing $251 million, or 59 percent of the cleantech total. That category includes energy generation, energy storage, energy infrastructure, and energy efficiency.



Water purification raised the second-largest amount, $61.5 million, and materials recovery and recycling was third, raising $29 million.
