Market Pulse: Mamma.com inks new intent letter to purchase Copernic
"Mamma.com Inc. said after Wednesday's closing bell that it and Copernic Technologies have signed a new letter of intent for Mamma.com to acquire Copernic in a cash-and-stock deal. Terms weren't disclosed. Last November, the Montreal-based Internet search company said it planned to purchase Copernic, but Copernic decided to not pursue the transaction in April. If a purchase agreement is signed, the sale is expected to close in the third quarter. Mamma.com said the deal would allow it to reach both Web-based and desktop-based search users using Copernic's desktop-search product."
